We have kept this tab, mostly unused until now, knowing that it was a blog space and hoping to post pictures and information from recent field trips and meetings. If you have photos from our SEC field trips this this 2018 season, please send them to hartrh2004@yahoo.com for posting.
Detroit Parks
We hope to have at least one field trip to a natural area in a Detroit Park every year. Belle Isle, Rouge Park, Palmer Park, Eliza Howell Park, and O'hair Park all have interesting natural areas. We visited O'hair Park's Pitcher Woods and Rouge Park's flood plain forest in 2016. Last summer in August, we went to Palmer Park. We are tentatively planning a return trip there for spring wild flowers this Spring 2018.
