Winter Tree ID: No Leaves? No Problem!
Georgia Peterson, Michigan State University Extension Service
Monday November 21, 2022 @ 7:00 PM
Peoples Church, 1758 10th St. N, Kalamazoo MI 49009
(Socializing begins at 6:30)
Identifying trees is a popular hobby, and one of the first steps in better understanding forests. Using leaves may be the most common way to start, but that can be challenging when those leaves are only available during the growing season. Thankfully, trees have many more features that you can use to identify them! This interactive session will give you tools to learn about and practice your tree ID skills during the dormant season.
You can download the Extension Services’ guide “Identifying Trees of Michigan (E2332 Revised 2022)” from their website here: https://www.canr.msu.edu/resources/identifying-trees-of-michigan-e2332-revised-2022.
